29th Annual Soaring Spirit Pow Wow

It’s Pow Wow time! The 29th annual Soaring Spirit Festival & Pow Wow, hosted by Branches Of Native Development (Hamilton), June 19 – 21, 2026.Featuring Vendors, Culture, Drumming, Singing, Dancing, Food…family fun, education & community bonding – everyone is welcome!

This has become the most popular Indigenous community celebration within Hamilton, attracting hundreds of visitors each day! This cultural event enriches the City of Hamilton by showcasing Indigenous ways of life and being through vibrant expressions such as drumming, singing, storytelling, crafting, feasting, and communal gatherings. This is a gathering of multiple Indigenous communities across Turtle Island, and all our fiends, relatives & allies!

Visit us in our red tent for unique crafts, health & wellness products, Smokeless Smudge, White Buffalo Sage, Maple Water
Maple Syrup, Lucky Rabbit Feet, tanned pelts and more – all ethically, sustainably and locally produced!

Battlefield Park, 77 King St. West, Stoney Creek, ON (there is no on-site parking – please park respectfully in the neighbourhood, or use public transit)

Please be respectful: this is a drug & alcohol free event. We suggest leaving pets at home, but if they must accompany you, please have them leashed and under control at all times.
Grounds are reasonably wheelchair accessible, if a little bumpy in spots!
Please remove hats during Grand Entry & during Honour Songs (announcments will be made).
No photos during Grand Entry.

Each day will begin with a Sunrise Ceremony, at 6am.

Friday will feature our early Sunrise Ceremony at 6 am, followed by a Day Of Teachings! (info poster below)

Friday will also be the start of the Native Arts, Craft, Trade & Food Show, Agency displays, speakers and exhibits and closing with live entertainment.

Participate in Drum, Music, Dance and Art as we feature our annual POW WOW on Saturday and Sunday. For early risers, the Sun Rise Ceremony starts at 6 am each day, all are welcomed to attend and participate.

Vendors market & Pow Wow registration open at 10 am each day – Grand Entry 12:00 pm Live Indigenous Entertainment/Music Saturday night 8 pm – 10 pm.

Friday, June 20:

Sunrise Ceremony 6 am
Teachings 6 am – 3 pm (see poster below for more info)
Live Indigenous Karaoke Idol Contest Auditions 4pm – 9pm

Saturday, June 20 & Sunday, June 21:

Sunrise Ceremony: 6:00 am
Grand Entry: 12:00 Noon
Vendors Open: 10:00 am – 6:00 pm (5:00 pm on Sun.)

Live Indigenous music Sat. from 8 -10 pm
