31st Annual Siege of Fort Erie

Trade-Goods-01Join us this weekend (Sat. 6 Aug., Sun. 7 Aug. 10am-5pm) at Old Fort Erie for the 31st reenactment of the 1812 siege! Admission to the event, all merchants and all battle displays is FREE. Regular admission for tours of the Fort, including the special “Lantern Tour” Saturday evening.

Muskets, cannons, mortars…and one very big explosion as the powder store is hit and the Fort explodes (historically, this Fort was destroyed multiple times by BOTH sides).

Visit the many fine merchants including the only authentic First Nations traders at the site; ourselves and Bad Billy’s Blades! Traditional medicines (including the best White Buffalo Sage), healing salves, traditional clay pipes, resin, trade silver, pelts, skulls, feathers, beads, wool mittens*, tankards and much more!

Visit the Parks Niagara site for more information.

Mittens-02*Sure, it’s August…and really hot…but you’ll want your hands to be this warm when the cold weather hits! Handmade by Seika from 100% Canadian Vintage Blanket Wool & real fur trim!
