7th Annual Traditional Pow Wow & Harvest Festival (MOA)

2016_program_coverJoin us Sept. 17 & 18, 2016 (10am – 4pm) at the 7th Annual Traditional Pow Wow and Harvest Festival at the Museum of Ontario Archaeology – 1600 Attawandaron Road, London ON.

This is a unique location and a great Traditional/Intertribal Pow Wow that has been growing over the years. Located inside a rebuilt Chonnonton Village, next to the Museum (with many unique artifacts); it is attended by many nations from near and far. Drumming, Dancing, Workshops, Food & Merchants throughout the weekend (please bring cash, there is no ATM nearby).

Workshops & Activities include: Interactive Hand Drumming Workshop, Four Medicines Teachings & Cedar Tea, Pow Wow Song & Dance Demonstration, Indigenous Culture Card Launch, Mandala Making Workshop, Story Telling in the Longhouse, Lacrosse Workshop & Demonstration, Corn Husk Doll and Matt Making Demonstration, Face Painting, Archery, Pottery Pit Firing Demonstration, Flint Knapping Demonstrations, Medicine Wheel Teaching & Art Workshop. (NOTE: all workshops are free, however some have limited space and require registration at the Museum Welcome Desk)

Admission is by donation! Please support the Museum and it’s Research.

Pow Wow Shuttle Bus: There is free parking at Saint Marguerite school with frequent shuttle bus rides to and from the Museum (provided by Elgie Bus Lines) from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. (Pow Wow dancers may be dropped off at the entrance to MOA’s parking lot but must park offsite). DIRECTIONS
