Description

I’ve used sage for about ten years. I’m so grateful to come across yours. I truly believe it’s the best I ever used. The first time I lit it I cried. I feel it was a release I was never able to do until now. It just makes me so much more grateful for your sage medicine. Thank you so much.

Our White Buffalo Sage comes directly from the mountain range it grows on in S.W. California – sustainably planted & cared for, hand harvested, dried traditionally/naturally by the same family for many generations. White Sage is one of the Four Sacred Medicines (along with Sweetgrass, Cedar & Tobacco) and is one of the best medicines nature has provided us, Burn it to clean the air, drink it to clean your system (aids in circulation & general health), you can even bathe in it! For some Scientific information about the benefits of Sage, see this article from the US National Library of Medicine (National Institutes of Health).

We only sell loose sage. This is much less wasteful as only one or two leaves are needed. You can always be certain our sage is properly dried (we’ve encountered bundles that were mouldy in the middle due to improper drying). We also know where our sage comes from, that it is sustainably harvested and always replanted and cared for. A lot of sage available commercially is stolen, while trespassing at night, entire plants ripped from the ground, never to grow again!

This is a premium plant medicine, we recommend only burning a leaf or two at a time – it should be all you need for personal use and will create plenty of smoke. Remember to always burn safely – over a shell, bowl, cup, or other non-flammable container.
If using for tea, follow a similar rule; one or two leaves crumbled in your cup (or tea bag/ball – can be mixed with regular black, green or white tea) and some natural sweetener, like honey. If making a pot of tea, use a stem or two instead!
