1812 in 2017 at Backus Mills

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will NOT be in attendance at the Backus reenactment. Stay tuned to the site (join the mailing list) for our next event!

Journey back in time with us to Backus Heritage Conservation Area, Sept. 9 & 10 for the annual 1812 reenactment.

More than 200 Soldiers, Merchants & others set up camp – in addition to the buildings on site. Activities take place from 10am – 8pm Saturday and 10am – 4pm on Sunday.

Find our tent for the best White Buffalo Sage, Minigan Salve and an assortment of other First Nations trade goods – and visit our Haudenosaunee & Métis cousins at Bad Billys Blades for hand forged blades of all kinds, drinking horns and traditional Wampum belts!

The event is free, but Park admission applies ($8 single Adult, only $14 for a carload of 2 or more – $13 for Seniors). Parking is free.
