Port Colborne Canal Days 2018

This coming weekend (Sat. 4 Aug. & Sun. 5 Aug.) is the 40th annual Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival in downtown Port Colborne – right at the junction of the Welland Canal & Lake Erie!

We have a very special spot at the The Port Colborne Historical & Marine Museum (280 King St., at Princess St. / 11 am – 5 pm) – right next to the functioning Blacksmith shop (just look for the Pyrate)!

First Nations Medicines, Animal Skulls, Pelts, Beads, Books on Pyrates, Handmade Clay Pipes, Beeswax and more!

Our friend Stephen Brulé returns with his fantastic tintype photographs; have your portrait taken 100 years ago! Authentic medieval knights from Blackthorn Productions, featuring displays & live demonstrations!

Among the many Museum attractions are Canada’s first “Steam Automobile”, live music, local food, Remote Control Model Boat Show, demonstrations of Blacksmithing, Woodcarving, Wool Spinning…don’t leave without some homemade Tea & Bikkies at Arabella’s Edwardian Tea Room!

Many more events around town and on the water for Canal Days, so make it a full day family outing.

There is also a free West Side Shuttle that runs along King St. every 20 minutes
