Sweetgrass is one of the four sacred plants and has many uses – both in ceremony and personal health. It’s used for smudging, healing, or talking circles. The smoke is believed to purify your thoughts and environment, eliminating negativity.

Certain Indigenous Nations hold it in high esteem, referring to it as the “Hair of Mother Earth.” Harvesting and braiding are ceremonial processes, with each braid representing the connection of mind, body, and spirit. Many of us keep it in our vehicles or hang it by our beds for its protective qualities, grounding properties, and delightful fragrance!
