Support Native Friendship Centres

For many of us fortunate to be near one, Native Friendship Centres are an important part of our connection to community! From Pow Wow to Social, Language Lessons to Counselling, there are programs for everyone from Toddlers to Elders, regardless of Status, Nation or situation. A place to gather in the spirit of friendship, respect, compassion, honesty, and a connection to traditions and culture that you may have been removed from.

In Niagara Region we are very fortunate to have both the Fort Erie Native Friendship Centre and the Niagara Regional Friendship Centre – as well as several associated organizations throughout these communities.

Programs at these centres are free for those who attend and most of the people who work there are actually volunteers! In order to ‘give back’, KTC and local Indigenous carver, Luke Gavin, have partnered to offer two auctions – one to support each of our local centres!

Luke has generously donated two unique (and practical) pieces of his art for this purpose. Please bid early & often – and know that you are supporting an important hub in the wheel of the urban Indigenous Community!

Auctions run until 3 pm EST on 31 July, 2021. Starting bids are $60, bid in increments of $10. All profits will go directly to the two centres mentioned above. Winner will be contacted within 48 hours of auction completion; arrangements will be made for pick up or delivery (in Niagara Region) or shipping if necessary.
